How do I become a seller?

What is my seller code?
Your seller code is a 4 or 5 letter word that is emailed to you upon seller registration. Your code will be placed on all tags in order for you to get credit for your sales.

Can I keep my seller code from the last sale?
If you sold in the previous sale, your code has been reserved for you. The code will remain assigned to you unless you do not sell with us for two consecutive sales.

I can't remember my seller code. How can I find it?
If you are a previous seller and have forgotten your code, email us at fiveanddimekids@gmail.com. Your original seller code will be emailed to you.

If I registered for a prior sale, do I have to register again?
Yes. You must register before each sale during the registration period.

What are the benefits of becoming a seller?
Our sellers receive 67% of their sales (less a $7.00 registration fee) AND get the opportunity to shop the Preview Sale with a minimum of 30 plus sellable items or items totaling $100 or more. Volunteers who work at least one shift are eligible to shop even earlier at the Volunteer Sale!

When can I drop off my items?
When you register, you will be asked to choose a drop-off time.

When can I pick up my unsold merchandise?

When do I get paid?
Seller checks will be mailed approximately 2 weeks after the sale.

What items do you accept?

Is there a limit on the items I can bring?
Yes.

MATERNITY: We are only accepting current, stylish party dresses and cute designer tops (No pants, skirts, or basics).

INFANT: There is a 30 item limit on infant clothing up to, but NOT including 6 months (i.e. 0-3 & 3-6). You may bring 30 items per gender between 0-6 mos. This does not include costumes or swimwear.

Where is a good place to get wire coat hangers?
Some drycleaners will give away recycled hangers for free. Ask friends and neighbors to save theirs for you as well. Neighborhood parent groups (yahoo groups) are often a good resource as well.

Do I have to use different colored tags?
No. All items left in the building after our designated pick up time will be dontated.

What is the Preview Sale?
The Preview Sale is held Thursday evening before the sale opens to the public. Each seller who has 30 or more sellable items or items valuing at least $100, will receive 2 passes for the Preview Sale. Become a volunteer and you will be eligible to shop our Volunteer Sale which opens 2 hours before the Preview Sale. Click here to see how you can SHOP FIRST at our 1/2 price sale.

Can I bring my children to the Preview Sale?
Although we don't recommend bringing children to the preveiw sale we understand that sometimes there isn't another option. If you need to bring your kids, we ask that you keep them with you at all times.
